The pressure as manager can be quite big, and one of the mistakes I most commonly find in my clients is the isolation they are driven too, Higher management pressure them in to getting results, Subordinates (i don´t think that should be the term... but well) are often waiting for instruction and letting you bare the whole weight.
But your Job as a Manager is not to solve every problem!
Your job is to know your team and their talents, to coach them and mentor them...Like that, when a challenge comes you know who is the right team member to deal with it, and if you have as part of your routine to keep a good atmosphere Quite possible your team would have already began taking care of the problem, covering your back and keeping it easy.
